Black Diamond Mines
This 10-mile trail in Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve (including a side trip to the Black Diamond coal mine) includes come uphill climbs, but is suitable for everyone. It should take us between about 6 hours to complete.
Rifle Merit Badge
Earn your Rifle Shooting Merit badge. This is a Council event. Scouts sign up directly. Troop 333 will not be sending adult leaders or providing transportation.
Klondike Derby
Tahoe Snow Camping. Winter Camporee. The Klondike Derby. Whatever you call it, this is a super fun competition and snow camping event that is bound to be one of your top 333 memories.

Royaneh Good Turn
Every spring we spend a weekend at Royaneh helping to prepare the camp for summer. This is a great camping trip for new Scouts, with easy drive-in camping and no hiking. Earn service hours. Meet Scouts from other units. Log some camping nights.

Intro to Backpacking
Three days. Two nights. 15 miles. Scouts will put their knowledge and skills to the test as we pack in (and out) everything we’ll need on this East Bay backpacking trip.
Citizenship in the World Merit Badge
Scouts who earn the Citizenship in the World merit badge discover that they are already a citizen of the world. How good a citizen each person is depends on thier willingness to understand and appreciate the values, traditions, and concerns of people in other countries.
ScoutZone
A full block of Mission Street will be closed off for ScoutZone, part of the largest Sunday Streets event of the year. It’s a great way to show off your skills, recruit new Scouts, and meet Scouts from other units.
NERT Citywide Drill
Help train the city’s Emergency Neighborhood Response Team (NERT). Scouts play the role of disaster victims—presenting specific symptoms and behaviors—as NERT trainees learn to triage a disaster site.
Jamboree on the Air
Jamboree-on-the-Air is the largest Scouting event in the world. Connect with Scouts around the world using amateur radio. Participate in a worldwide Minecraft challenge. Earn the Radio merit badge.

Get a behind the scenes look at what went into designing the Sustainability Treehouse at Scouts BSA’s National High Adventure Base in West Virginia.

Spend the day at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. Learn the ABCs of Nuclear Science. Tour the Advanced Light Source. Earn the Nuclear Science merit badge! This is a free event.
Radio & Electronics
Get your Ham Radio license in a day at Pacficon. Learn about amateur radio—what it is, how it works, types of equipment, and how to use it. Earn your Radio or Electronics merit badge.

This 7-mile trail near Moraga in the East Bay is the 8th in our Pathfinder series. Expect a couple of hilly climbs, unusual rocks, wildflowers, and expansive views.
Yosemite Backpacking
This 33.3-mile loop in Yosemite National Park is for experienced backpackers.We’ll start at the valley floor and hike in a sweeping loop around Half Dome.
