Royaneh is an exciting week-long summer camp experience for Scouts. It is located in Marin County, with swimming, Scoutcraft, handicraft, rifle/shotgun, horseback riding, climbing, and more!
Summer camp is also a great opportunity for advancement in rank, especially for younger Scouts. If you are a new Scout, ask a Scout who has been there to tell you all about it.
One Week or Two?
We offer Scouts the opportunity to attend for one or two weeks. Week 5 runs from 7/19–7/25. Week 6 runs from 7/26–8/1. You can attend either or both weeks.
We will go up on Sunday morning and return Saturday morning. Their program doesn't allow for partial weeks: you don't have to stay for the full week but will need to pay the full amount.
Early Registration Deposits
A deposit of $350 is due by January 23, and is non-refundable. We strongly encourage all families to let us know their summer camp commitment by this date. Our site is not guaranteed until we give Royaneh a final headcount, meaning late registration may jeopardize our nearly 50-year tradition of camping at Scanlon Ridge.
The full cost is $850 per Scout per week ($815 if you pay by 5/22, $880 if you pay after 5/22)
Parent Volunteers
Signups for parent volunteers is in March. We need parent volunteers to help ensure Scouts are safe and supervised. At the same time, we value summer camp as a place for Scouts to gain independence, bond as a troop, and forge relationships with Scouts in other troops. Cost is $500 per adult, per week.
