Camp Royaneh

If it’s your first summer at Camp Royaneh, you’re in for a ton of fun in the sun… We asked some of our veteran Scouts and Scouters what they wish they’d known their first time. Here’s what they told us:

Nick C
Bring a big water bottle to stay hydrated during the day.
Bring warm clothes for the evening.

Skyler
You’ll probably wear your uniform shorts or pants most/all of the week.
Wear your uniform socks with you uniform but wear different socks the rest of the day.
Change your underwear every day.

Noah
Bring money for the trading post.
Ask for guidance from older Scouts so you don't blow it all the first two days like I did!
Bring a pillowcase and stuff it with clothes to use as a pillow.

Hayden
Bring some comfort snacks to reduce how much you spend at the trading post.
Keep your snacks in a hard plastic container with a lid so critters don't eat them.
Bring (and use) deodorant!

Jonathan
Bring a notebook, a couple of pencils, and an eraser. You need them for classes and the ones at the trading post are really expensive.

Baker
Bring a camping cot. You’ll sleep way better and warmer. You can store things under it and keep your tent clean
Bring a hanger for your uniform.

Cyrus
Bring a Cot. You don't want to sleep on the tent floor
Bring a Camping Chair for campfires
Bring money for the Trading Post

Christopher
Bring some colorful “beach” wear in case there is a “surprise” themed barbecue.
Take as many classes as you can. Even if you have no scheduled “free” periods you’ll have plenty of free time.
