Camp Royaneh

Camp Royaneh is our annual summer camp. We traditionally attend this 6-night sleep-away camp the last week in July, which is the 6th and final week it is offered. Troops from all over the council—and beyond—also attend.

Why it’s Special

Summer camp is special for so many reasons. Scouts form deeper bonds with each other and make new friendships with Scouts from other troops. Most of all, it’s fun! Here are just some of the activities summer camp has to offer:

THE LEGEND OF

Scanlon Ridge

For decades, Troop 333 has staked its claim on Scanlon Ridge, Camp Royaneh’s most convenient, quiet, and picturesque campsite. The site is surrounded by towering redwoods and features 17 platform tents, a kybo, sink, fire ring with benches, and two large picnic tables. It has its own flagpole and small parade area. A deck—built by Troop 333—looks over the valley below; grazing horses from the camp corral come up to the fence line. Around the site you’ll find numerous improvements built by the troop over the years. A time capsule is buried in hidden location.
