Memorial Day flag planting is an annual district-wide event at which Scouts honor US military personnel who gave their lives serving in the United States Armed Forces.
All leaders and Scouts should be in field uniform for the event. Please RSVP so we can let the District know how many Scouts to expect.
Details
Logistics: The event begins promptly at 9 am and will conclude by 11 am. Scouts should arrive no later than 8:45 am.
Registration is required for this event. We must RSVP in advance.
Parking: Parking is available outside the cemetery only. Please factor walk time into your planning.
Weather: It's San Francisco, so the weather can be unpredictable, dressing in layers is always encouraged.
Uniforms: Wear your field uniform to this event. No headwear (except in case of rain). Please do not wear long sleeves under a short sleeve uniform shirt.
