This project will improve the outdoor space at the Merced Branch Library. We will be developing a community garden space to increase community engagement and create a more aesthetic and welcoming environment—and we need your help!
There are three in-person work days:
Saturday, June 20
Wednesday, June 24
Saturday, June 27
Each work day will last about 3 hours (11 am – 1 pm) and will consist of ground preparation and planting. Lunch will be provided.
In addition, a small team of Scout are need to help research and design interpretive signage that will accompany the plantings as an educational component. This will act as a passive learning program for the library so patrons can walk by and learn something new.
